Most cardamom in the market passes through multiple middlemen before reaching you — losing freshness, traceability, and quality at every step. We work differently:
- Direct farm relationships: We work directly with cardamom farmers in Idukki, Kerala
- Small-batch sourcing: We buy in small batches to ensure freshness
- Selective harvesting: Only fully mature, green pods are selected
- Proper drying: Slow-dried at controlled temperatures to preserve volatile oils
- Immediate packaging: Airtight packaging within hours of processing
Why Cardamom Quality Varies So Much
Cardamom quality is determined by volatile oil content, moisture level, pod size and color, freshness, and storage conditions. Most commercial cardamom is old, improperly stored, and has lost most of its volatile oils by the time it reaches the consumer. Our direct sourcing model eliminates this problem.
